Major software update hitting Kindle Fire on August 3rd

    According to BGR website:

Samsung announced on Wednesday that it will hold an event on August 3rd during which all Kindle Fire owners can bring in their tablets to have them updated to the latest software build. The update will add Samsung’s custom TouchWiz user interface, which includes live panels and mini apps, as well as a redesigned Samsung Hub application. It will also install Words with Friends, Amazon’s Cloud Player for music and Amazon’s Kindle software. Kindle Fire owners in the New York area can bring their units to the Samsung Experience Store at Columbus Circle between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to have their devices updated for free. Those outside the New York metropolitan area will receive an over-the-air update “soon.”

I am having trouble logging in through my settings in the chain of command. Even though I am logged in at the Samsung official site, the chain of command in settings is saying that my user ID or password is invalid. Until I find an answer, I can not download the update.

I spoke with Samsung on this. Despite me being logged in to Samsung through the GT 10.1, they told me to click on the register new account and plug in my Google Email and password, even though I already had an account.

    It worked.
