    kindle fire crashed

    Hey there,
I really need your help. My kindle fire crashed. I surfed in the internet and suddenly I couldn't do anything anymore. Even the time on top of the screen stopped (it says 12:58 although it's 1:13 now). Furthermore the touch screen is not responding and nothing happens when I wanna use the on/off button but the screen is still showing the web browser.
I seriously don't know what to do right now..

Did you try holding the on button down till you get the want to shut down screen? When your Kindal fire is fully shut down it will reboot the operating system when it starts again, and you see Kindal on and off a while till it's ready to use.
This worked for me when mine quit connecting to web sites.
Hope this works for you, if not it's back to Amazon I guess.

FallenAngel; did you have any luck rebooting? I had the same problem with the addition that holding down the on button (to cause shutdown) was also not working. The kindel fire remained on overnight (I did not have a power supply with me.) It's now recharging. Can anyone explain what occurred?

Larry if the re-charge does not solve the problem, I would contact Amazon and see if they can offer a fix or a new Kindal Fire.

Overnight I let (had no choice actually) run down and go dark. After fully recharging it came up fine as if nothing had gone wrong. Apparently shutting off due to lack of power is as effective as being able to shut off using the on button.
