Thread: Transferring Unprotected Mobi files to Kindle

My Kindle fire will not read unprotected Mobi files that I transfer from my PC even though the Kindle App on my PC reads them ok and they work fine with the Mobipocket reader on my PC. When I transfer the files to the Kindle Fire I get a message saying " no reader available for the mobipocket file" . I would appreciate any help. Thanks
